When you have finished reviewing a candidate's profile and application and you decided to consider them for the next stages, you will want to move that candidate from the current stage to the next or any other stage of your hiring pipeline. This action is available for all users except Reviewers & External Recruiters.
Before moving candidates to different stages:
- Customize your recruiting pipeline. If candidates moved past the ‘Sourced’ and ‘Applied’ stages, it won't be possible to apply a new pipeline to the job.
- Set up automated actions. Although candidates are not notified when they are moved to another stage, this action may trigger a communication. To ensure that no one is left out, it's best to have your automated actions ready before moving the candidate to the next stages.
Selecting the stage
Next stage
To move a candidate to the next stage of the pipeline:
- Click on the candidate name from the browser on the left to select it
- Click on the green button "Move to [next stage]" on the upper right of the profile
Any other stage
Candidates can be skipped over stages if a stage isn't relevant to the job. To do so:
- Click on the candidate name from the browser on the left to select it
- Click the little arrow on the right of the movement button
-
Select the stage you’d like to move the candidate to. The current stage of the candidate will appear with a tick sign next to it.
In this example, if you already scheduled a video call with the candidate in the 'Phone Screen' stage you might skip the 'Video Interview' stage and move him directly to the 'Assessment' stage.
Moving multiple candidates at once
You can move multiple candidates to a different stage:
- Select the candidates you’d like to move using the checkbox by their name
- A bulk actions menu will appear. Click it and select the option to Move to stage. This will open a form where you can select the stage you’d like to move the candidates.
Notes
- Once a candidate is placed in the Disqualified section you won't be able to move them to a different stage. If you wish to move the candidate, you will need to revert them back to Qualified and then move them to a different stage.
- If you are using Hiring Plan, you won't be able to move a candidate to the Hired stage without an open requisition for the job.
