If your Workable administrator has enabled the Google or Microsoft 365 Outlook integration for your account, you'll still need to authorize your own Google/Outlook email account to Workable.
This will enable you to email candidates from your own business email and import email threads with candidates from your Inbox to Workable. Your emails to candidates will be synced to your 'Sent' folder.
With the Google integration:
Option 1: Via the email icon
- Access any candidate profile in Workable
- Click the email icon
- Click the button to Connect your Google account and follow the instructions in the pop-up window, allowing the needed permissions
Option 2: Via a direct link
Authenticate directly by clicking here.
With the Microsoft 365 Outlook integration:
Note: Depending on your organization's 365 settings, admin approval may be required to connect your email and calendar. Check more details here and contact your IT team if needed.
Option 1: Via the email icon

- Click the email icon
- Click the button to Connect your Outlook email account and follow the instructions in the pop-up window, allowing the needed permissions
Option 2: Via a direct link
It's also possible to prompt users to connect their accounts without them trying to send an email in Workable. An Admin user could share with them a link in this format:
https://[subdomain].workable.com/auth/microsoft?
pdr=microsoft&pdr_connect=true&prompt=consent&permit=basic,email,calendar
Replace the [subdomain] with your Workable subdomain. This link automatically redirects users to the permissions window to connect their 365 accounts.
