As an Admin user, you will have the option to purchase the plan of your choice:
- On the desktop, from the Plan section of the main menu
- On the mobile web, from the Plans & Pricing section of the main menu

If you have more than 2 active jobs but wish to proceed with the Starter
plan, make sure you archive the jobs which you won't be using before purchasing the plan. You can easily archive the jobs you don't need by clicking Manage in the plan panel:Using your job slots efficiently
Active jobs are any jobs with the Published, Used Internally, or Used Confidentially status. The active jobs are the ones occupying your job slots.
When you’ve finished recruiting for a job it’s a good idea to archive it. This will free up space on your account as you continue recruiting. If you’ve got the maximum number of active jobs on your account (2 jobs), you will be prompted to upgrade your plan.
Archived jobs are still stored on your account at the bottom of the job dashboard. The candidates are accessible but will be in 'read-only' mode, meaning that you can't interact with their profiles to send emails or leave comments. You can move archived candidates into active jobs.
Unarchiving jobs will add them back into your job slot count as if they were a new job. Note that this will not refresh the date they were published.
If your hiring spree ends you can downgrade to the free plan. To start back up with a Starter plan, simply create another job on the account.

Under the upgrade plan options section start by selecting the number of full-time employees at your company and the subscription type you prefer from the below options:
- Monthly subscription: pay monthly and cancel anytime
- Annual subscription (20% OFF): pay annually; ❗this is considered an annual commitment so it won't be possible to cancel your plan along the way
You will see the total pricing based on your selections. Once you are ready click Purchase and you will be redirected to the checkout process to add your company details and choose payment method; credit card or direct debit (US only).

Under the upgrade plan options section select the number of full-time employees at your company; the pricing will be calculated based on your selection. The Premier plan is available only as an annual subscription.
Once you are ready click Purchase and you will be redirected to the checkout process to add your company details and choose payment method; credit card or direct debit (US only).
To discuss alternative invoicing options click the option to "Request a call" and one of our sales team members will contact you. This option can be found on the right of your Plan page.
Purchasing a plan on mobile
On the mobile web, click Plans & Pricing on the main menu and choose the plan of your choice along with any premium tool. You can check the plan features in the previous section.
You will see all Workable plans in different tabs and your current plan at the bottom of the page.
Note: If you have more than 2 active jobs but wish to proceed with the Starter plan, make sure you archive the jobs that you won't be using so that Starter becomes available for purchase.
Next, proceed to checkout, where you will be requested to provide your company and payment details. A summary of your total amount to be paid (including taxes) will appear at the bottom of the page.
Purchasing premium tools
Our premium tools (Video interviews, Texting, and Assessments) can be purchased on an account level by Starter and Standard plans (the Premier plan includes all premium tools at no extra cost):
- When purchasing the plan
- At a later point, after purchasing your plan. In this case, the price will be prorated based on the remaining subscription period.
- When upgrading to another plan
Just click the plus icon (+) next to one or more premium tools. The purchase amount will depend on the plan you already have or select. 🔎 Check more on the premium tools pricing here.
If you are currently under one of our older Plans (legacy, manual subscriptions) you will be prompted to select the appropriate company size in a pre-checkout step. FAQs
- Why the Starter plan is not available for me?
- If the Starter plan is greyed out for you this means that you have more than 2 active jobs. Once you archive some of your jobs and you keep only two then the Starter plan will become available.
- How can I move from a yearly plan to a monthly plan?
- Moving from an annual plan to a monthly plan is not possible when your subscription is active. If your current plan is close to the renewal date you can move to a monthly plan by following the steps below:
- Cancel your current plan by downgrading to our read-only plan. The option to downgrade can be found at the very bottom of your Plan page
- Purchase the new plan from the Plan page
Important: Refunds are not possible for early cancellations/downgrades.
