If a Workable administrator has enabled the Google or Microsoft 365 Outlook integration for your account, you'll still need to authorize your own Google/Outlook calendar to connect to Workable.
This will enable your colleagues to more easily schedule interviews on your behalf and enable candidates to self-schedule events based on your availability in your calendar.
With the Google integration
Option 1: Via the calendar icon in the candidate profile (available for all permissions except Reviewers)
- Access any candidate profile in Workable
- Click the calendar icon
- Click the button to Connect and follow the instructions in the pop-up window, allowing the needed permissions
Option 2: Via a direct link (available also for Reviewers)
Click here to authenticate your Google calendar directly. This option will also enable reviewers (who cannot access the event scheduling functionality) to authenticate their calendars.
Option 3: Via the employee profile (all plans with the HR package)
If you use our HR features, when your employees visit the 'Time off' tab under their employee profile, they’ll be prompted to authenticate their Google calendars (if they haven't already). Once they do, every time a time-off request is approved, their Google calendar is automatically updated with an 'Out of Office' event. Learn more here.
With the Microsoft 365 Outlook integration
Note: Depending on your organization's 365 settings, admin approval may be required to connect your email and calendar. Check more details here and contact your IT team if needed.

Option 2: Via a direct link (available also for Reviewers)
It's also possible to prompt users to connect their Microsoft 365 Outlook calendar accounts without them trying to send an event in Workable. This will also enable reviewers (who cannot access the event scheduling functionality) to authenticate their calendars. An Admin user could share with them a link in this format:
https://[subdomain].workable.com/auth/microsoft?
pdr=microsoft&pdr_connect=true&prompt=consent&permit=basic,email,calendar
Replace the [subdomain] with your Workable subdomain. This link automatically redirects users to the permissions window to connect their 365 accounts.
