Candidate ratings/evaluations are critical to the hiring process. They help recruiters and hiring managers collect feedback from interviewers and make data-driven decisions.
Check the interactive tour and click the blinking blue beacon to advance to the next steps.
To evaluate a candidate, locate the candidate's profile in Workable or search for them by name. Click the thumbs up/down button to submit an evaluation. Each hiring team member can leave one candidate evaluation per stage.
💡Tasks for adding interview feedback will appear in the “To-dos” section on the users' home page one hour after the end of a candidate event they participated in and only if they have not yet added their evaluation rating.
Basic evaluation mode
If no interview kit/scorecard is created for the current stage, the basic evaluation form will open by default when you click the evaluation button.
- Add in a comment (mandatory field) providing details as to why this candidate is or isn't a good fit for the job.
- Add a rating for the candidate using your company's rating scale (thumbs, stars, or numbers).
- Click Add evaluation.
Scorecard evaluation mode
If an interview kit/scorecard has been created for the current stage, it will appear by default when you click the evaluation button.
- Rate the candidate for each skill/question or skip topics you weren't able to get to.
- Click +Add note to add notes for a specific topic/question of the interview.
- At the end, include an overall rating and comment (mandatory field) providing additional details as to why this candidate is or isn't a good fit for the job.
- Click Add evaluation.
If you prefer, you can use the basic evaluation by clicking the link at the top of the evaluation window.
You can access scorecards for upcoming interviews by navigating to your Agenda; just click the calendar icon in the black toolbar at the top of the screen.
Accessing evaluations
Evaluations are shown on the candidate’s Τimeline but are also accessible via the Review tab for a more focused view. All Workable users with access to the job (except External recruiters) can see each other's evaluations.
To limit bias, if you are invited to an event, you cannot see your colleagues’ evaluations until you submit your own. Super & recruiting admins are excluded from this rule. Check more here.
Editing or deleting an evaluation
You can edit or delete only the evaluations that you have submitted. To do so, click the pen icon or the trash bin next to your saved evaluation. Please note that you are not able to delete evaluations submitted by other members of the account.
