Multiple location sources determine the candidate location visible in the profile header. Hover over the location to view the method used by Workable to estimate the location.
Possible sources are:

Location provided by candidate
- When they filled out the job application form
- Was parsed from the candidate's resume

Location suggested by Workable
- Candidate provided the address but not the city and/or country in the job application form and Workable estimated the missing info
- By Workable profile database or other social profiles
- Based on the candidate’s IP at the time of application
- Location provided by your team: the address was added or edited by the hiring team
Edit the address from the profile header
If the location is inaccurate, you can quickly edit it from the profile header:
- Click on the location in the profile header
- In the edit address modal, add or edit the address
- Click Update to complete the action
Edit the address from the contact details section
The full address of the candidate will be visible only under Contact Details > Address. To edit it from there, you will need to:
- Edit the candidate profile
- Scroll down to locate the Contact Details
- Click the pencil icon next to the Address
