Visual data
Average days to move forward:
The stacked bar chart at the top of the page shows every stage in the pipeline and the average time a candidate takes to move forward from each stage. For example, if the bar chart shows “Applied: 4 days”, that means it takes an average of 4 days for candidates to move forward from applied to any other stage in the pipeline.
Average days from sourced/applied to pipeline stage:
The number of days taken is visible above each arrow. This chart shows the average number of days it took candidates to move from Sourced/Applied to any given stage.
Tabular data
The table combines the data to show:
- the average days from sourced or applied to each stage in the pipeline
- the average days to move forward from a pipeline stage
- additional relevant actions that occurred within each stage
For example, you can see how many events, comments, or evaluations occurred at each stage of the pipeline and compare them to the time spent in each stage.
The columns can be managed by adding or removing them through the Columns option on the top right.

FAQs
- Why do my Hiring funnel and Hiring velocity numbers differ?
-
The two reports use different data sources and counting methods:
- The Hiring velocity report reads from candidate activity data. It only counts a candidate for stages where actual activity occurred — no funnel assumptions are made.
- The Hiring funnel report reads from the candidate table and uses each candidate's current stage at report generation time. It assumes that a candidate at a given stage has passed through all previous stages — even if they were added directly to a later one. This can result in higher counts at earlier stages.
As a result, candidate counts at early and intermediate stages are typically higher in the Hiring funnel report than in this one.
An additional difference: if no candidate creation date filter is applied, the Hiring velocity report also counts candidates who were moved from different jobs, while the Hiring funnel report does not.
