Note: Remember that the date filter may operate differently for each report. Data shown between different reports may not be comparable because the date filtering mechanisms differ.

The report center supports powerful and flexible filters across Recruiting, HR and Payroll reports. You can filter reports using advanced operators, multiple values and date presets to find exactly the data you need. This article explains:
- Which filters are available per plan
- How job, candidate and requisition filters work
- How to use team member filters correctly
- How date filters apply across reports
How filters work
The filtering system is designed to help you refine data more precisely. Instead of simple dropdowns or limited combinations, filters use a structured format of [filter] [operator] [value]. This allows for more powerful filtering while keeping the interface easy to use.
Pre-built reports have a set of filters applied typically with default values, with users able to remove them and add filters via the Add filter dropdown. The filter dropdown groups filters into categories for easier access:
- Common group: filters that are most commonly used for this report based on past data.
- Report specific filters (e.g. Candidate / Job / Employee etc.)
- Date filters: are grouped for easier access to date range filtering
Filters are grouped into the following categories:
-
Lists: You can filter for one or multiple values using the following operators: IS | IS NOT | IS EMPTY | IS NOT EMPTY. Examples: Members, Candidate activity types, job status.
-
Boolean: You can filter for IS TRUE | IS FALSE | IS EMPTY | IS NOT EMPTY. Examples: Candidate disqualified.
-
Strings: You can filter for CONTAINS | DOES NOT CONTAIN | IS EMPTY | IS NOT EMPTY. Examples: Candidate headline.
-
Numbers: You can filter for IS | BETWEEN | GREATER THAN | LESS THAN | IS EMPTY | IS NOT EMPTY. Examples: Salary amount.
-
Dates: You can filter for IS | BETWEEN | AFTER | BEFORE | IS EMPTY | IS NOT EMPTY. The IS option supports the presets: all time | this week | this month | this quarter | this year | last week | last month | last quarter | last year. Examples: Candidate creation date, Candidate hire date.

The date range options have preset timeframes (this week/this month/this quarter/this year, etc.), and you can also input a custom date range.
The date filter applies to different fields in each report. To clarify this, the date range picker includes a header indicating where the date range applies, such as the candidate creation date, the activity creation date, etc. Learn more about date filters.
FAQs
- How can I filter reports to view results just for the jobs I'm working on?
-
Admin users
To generate a report specifically for the jobs where you are part of the hiring team, click on the 'Job hiring team member' filter, search for your name, and select it from the dropdown.
Standard access users
Standard access users can only view reporting data for their assigned jobs. If they are not part of a job's hiring team, they cannot access its reporting.
- Will the applied filters stay in place as I navigate between reports?
No, reports are not bookmarkable, and any filters you choose won't persist across reports. This means that you cannot go to a specific filtered view of a report via a URL or bookmark a view via a URL. To maintain the filters you chose, you can save the report.
