Copying and pasting a formatted job description into Workable from external sources (such as a Word document) may cause formatting issues on job boards. This is usually due to hidden formatting or spacing that can be slightly distorted between systems.
For this reason, we recommend removing any existing formatting first and then applying it directly within Workable. More specifically:
- Copy a role's job description and paste it here online to remove its format
- Copy and paste it back to Workable and make any formatting directly there
Note: If you are updating a job, it can take up to 24 hours for the changes to be visible across all job boards.
Tips and common issues
- Gaps between bullet points
Locate the bullet after the gap and just hit the Backspace key once. This will remove the extra spacing that is causing the issue.
- Clone a job instead of copying and pasting the description
To use the same job description without copying and pasting, you can easily duplicate the job in Workable. The job description will be the same as what you set for the original job.
