After publishing a job, you may want to confirm that it's live and visible on a job board. Depending on the job board, you can either go directly to your posting using the direct link or search for it manually on the job board's website.
Note that free postings may take up to 48 hours to appear after publishing in Workable.
Using the direct link
Some job boards include a direct link to your posting, represented by an arrow icon next to the job board entry in Workable. Selecting it takes you straight to the live posting on the job board's website. To use it:
- Open the job and go to the Find Candidates section.
- Locate the job board entry you want to check.
- Select the arrow icon next to it to open your posting directly on the job board.
This option is available for job boards that support direct links, such as LinkedIn.
Searching manually for your job on the job board
If no direct link is available, you can search for your job manually on the job board's website.
To find a job published on a free job board:
- Go to the job board's website.
- Use the search bar to look up your company name or job title.
- Apply any available filters, such as location or date posted, to narrow down the results.
Job boards that require the same IP address
Some job boards only show your posting to users browsing from the same country where the job is located. If the job is posted for a location in the UK but you're searching from a different country, the posting may not appear in your search results — even if it's live.
If you can't find your posting, try searching from a device or network based in the same country as the job location.
Local versions
Many job boards operate separate websites for different countries. For example, a job posted for a US location will appear on indeed.com, while a job in the UK will appear on uk.indeed.com. Make sure to visit the local site that matches your job's location. For more details on how to search on Indeed specifically, see How do I find my job on Indeed?
