Availability: Accounts with the Premier or Enterprise plan
Key info: An overview of all requisitions and their status for all the jobs a user has access to
Date filter: Requisition plan date
Update frequency: Every 4 hours
To access the report, click the Reports page in the navigation bar. You can refine your data by filtering the results based on job, department, requisition location, hiring manager, requisition owner, status or date. To see all entries for the selected time filter export the report to CSV.
Use the Hiring Plan report to see the budget forecasts, the budget compared with offered salaries, the average time to fill a requisition, and more. The report displays up to 1000 entries.
🔎 Since the report is filtered by "Plan date", if you choose to view results for a custom date range, you must include up to the very last day of the month when filtering. For example, to forecast up through June then the date filter must include June 30th. If the filter was only set to June 15th then requisitions with a Plan Date in June will not appear in the results.
Important: You may notice differences in the list of visible requisitions between the Hiring Plan reports and the Hiring Plan dashboard.
- In reports, non-admin users see requisitions for jobs where they are part of the hiring team.
- On the Hiring Plan dashboard, requisitions are also visible based on collaboration rules, so users may see additional items even if they’re not on the hiring team.
Tabular data
Select the columns you want to include in the Hiring Plan report by clicking Columns on the upper right side corner (you need to hover your mouse within the Hiring Plan table to make the option visible). Any new requisition fields added under your Hiring Plan settings will also appear here.
Commonly used data includes:
- Requisition Open Date: The date when the requisition status was set to Open. We consider the initial open date even if a requisition is edited and a re-approval is triggered.
- Requisition Filled Date: The date when the associated candidate was moved to the Hired pipeline step
- Time to fill: The number of days between the Open Date and Filled Date (Filled Date - Open Date);❗when calculating time to fill for a candidate, the period that a requisition has been put on hold is not calculated.
- Requisition Plan Date: The month when the candidate was planned to have started
- Requisition Created Date: The date when the requisition was created. We consider the initial creation date even if a requisition is edited and a re-approval is triggered.
- Requisition Start Date: The start date set when making an offer or moving a candidate to the Hired step
- Requisition Start Date Difference: The number of days difference between the Start Date and Plan Date (Start Date - Plan Date)
- Salary Budgeted: This is the highest amount in the salary range
- Salary Offered: The salary that was offered to the candidate
- Candidate name: The candidate associated with the specific requisition
- Candidate Source: This includes the source from which the candidate profile was created (this is not selected by default and needs to be selected under "Columns")
You can refine your data by filtering the results based on job, department, requisition location, hiring manager, owner, status, and more.

Total currency
The currency used for the totals at the top of the report is the most common currency used for the requisitions you are currently viewing. If your filtering shows 5 reqs in USD$ and 3 reqs in EUR€, the total currency would be shown in USD$.
Currency calculations
When multiple currencies are represented in the data, the salary is converted from each currency into the most common currency in the dataset using today's rates. For example, if you are viewing requisitions that all have salary in USD$, the currency is USD$. If you apply a different filter and the requisitions are mostly in EUR€, but there are some in USD$, then the USD$ salaries would be converted to EUR€ for the totals.
Jobs that do not have an annual salary will have their pay converted to annual. For example, if a candidate is offered $20/hour, that pay rate is converted to annual pay (pay rate X # hours per week X # weeks per year).
FAQs
- Why do I see more hired candidates in the Hiring plan report than in the Time to hire report?
-
You may notice discrepancies between the Hiring plan and Time to hire reports when reviewing hired candidates. This happens because each report considers a different set of candidates.
In the Hiring plan report, if you filter for filled requisitions, this does not necessarily mean that all associated candidates are currently in the Hired stage. A requisition remains marked as filled even if a candidate who was hired is later disqualified or moved out of the Hired stage. As a result, the report may still count candidates under filled requisitions.
In contrast, the Time to hire report only includes candidates who are both:
In the Hired stage, and
Qualified (not disqualified)
Because of this difference in criteria, the Hiring plan report may show more candidates under filled requisitions than the Time to hire report for the same date range.
- Why does the Time to hire report show more hired candidates than the Hiring plan report?
-
Another possible reason for discrepancies is when an account enabled the Hiring plan feature after already using Workable for some time.
The Hiring plan report only includes data from the time the Hiring plan feature was enabled. Any hires made before activation will not appear in this report.
However, the Time to hire report includes all historical hiring data, regardless of when the Hiring plan feature was enabled.
As a result, for the same date range, the Time to hire report may display more hired candidates than the Hiring plan report if the Hiring plan was enabled after hiring activity had already taken place.
