If you are unable to successfully set up the LinkedIn Recruiter integration, publish Limited (free) postings or promote jobs via the integration, check out below the most frequent causes and resolution steps:
Integration setup
While entering my Contract ID, I cannot log in to the job posting widget.
Only contract seatholders with Dashboard Manager Admin or Recruiter Admin privileges can access the job posting widget.
The job posting widget is not working on my web browser.
The job posting widget is supported by Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, and Firefox. The widget may be blocked by users who:
- Have enabled tracking content blocking and cross-site cookie blocking. Please make sure both are disabled.
- Have their third-party cookies disabled (these cookies will be disabled by default if you use Google Chrome). To use normally all LinkedIn widgets, you will need to allow third-party cookies in your browser settings - you can find guides on how to do it on the supported browsers:
Promoting jobs via job slots
There may be several reasons why your jobs aren't getting promoted:
- You must have access to a LinkedIn Recruiter account. The integration is not available for Recruiter Lite accounts. If you do not have Recruiter access, a Workable user who does have access must be the one to publish via the job slots.
- If you have a recruiter seat on multiple LinkedIn contracts, verify that the contract selected during setup is a Jobs contract, not another LinkedIn product.
- In Recruiter, confirm that you have job slots available. If not, you will need to free up a job slot.
- The default job poster added during setup should be an active seat holder (preferably an admin and active recruiter on LinkedIn). If the person you are trying to select does not appear, they are likely not a seat holder.
Note: If the default poster leaves your company, you should Edit the contract ID field, select a new default job poster, and click Save.

Troubleshooting free job posting not visible
There may be several reasons why your jobs aren't appearing on LinkedIn:
- Starting in August 2024, recruitment-based staffing companies and search firms are no longer able to post jobs for free on LinkedIn. Any “Basic Jobs” or “Limited Listings” must be promoted to remain visible. This policy applies to direct postings on LinkedIn and is not specific to Workable or any other ATS.
LinkedIn independently reviews all companies and job postings based on its own criteria and categorizes companies accordingly. If you believe your company has been categorized incorrectly or there is an error, please contact LinkedIn directly for assistance. - If you were using legacy job ingestion sources (XML and scraping), you will need to switch to API method (Apply Connect). By enabling Apply Connect you agree to LinkedIn Jobs Terms & Conditions. Read more on LinkedIn Apply Connect here.
Enabling Apply Connect will also initiate a one time migration of your job postings from legacy source to API source. You should re-configure existing Job Wrapping to the ATS API source (Additional details available on the Help Article). - Check if the job description contains #LI-DNI. This tag is used on purpose to exclude job from being ingested (do not ingest).
