When signing in with a password, Workable uses a one-time passcode (OTP) to verify your identity. After entering your password, you'll receive a short-lived code by email that you need to enter to complete sign-in.
Note: This OTP step also applies when signing in with a password to the Referrals portal and the Careers page site builder.
Signing in with password
- Go to the sign-in page.
- Enter your work email address and select Sign in with Password.
- Enter your password and select Sign in.

You'll be redirected to a new screen to enter your 6-digit code. At the same time, an email containing the code is sent to your email address — select the copy button in the email to copy it quickly. The screen also includes shortcuts to popular email providers so you can access your inbox without leaving the page.
- Enter the 6-digit code. Sign-in completes automatically once you enter the last digit — no need to select a button.
Note: The code is valid for 10 minutes. If you enter an incorrect or expired code, you'll see an error message — select Resend code to request a new one if needed. You can resend the code at any time, but there is a 60-second waiting period between requests. After 5 failed attempts, the code is invalidated, and you'll need to request a new one.

Resetting your password
If you've forgotten your password, you can easily reset it and get back into your Workable account.
- Visit the sign-in page.
- Enter your work email and click Sign in with Password;❗make sure it is the email address you used when you signed up for your Workable account or the one you have been using to sign in if you changed it since creating your account.
- Right below the sign-in form, click on the Forgot your password? link.
- Enter again your email address and hit the Reset password button to receive an email that enables you to set a new password.

Password reset for someone else?
Visit our sign-in page in an incognito window and follow the exact same steps as below, entering your colleague's email.
Updating your password
If you wish to change your password while remembering your current one:
- While logged in, click your user icon in the upper right, click on Settings, and select Your profile.
- At the bottom of the Personal Profile page, locate the Credentials section.
- Click Update your password.
- Enter your current password.
- Enter the new password in both fields to confirm it.
- Save your changes.
That's it! You can now log in with your new password.
