When signing in with a password, Workable uses a one-time passcode (OTP) to verify your identity. When an OTP is required, after entering your password you'll receive a short-lived code by email that you need to enter to complete sign-in.
After you verify your sign-in with an OTP, your browser and device remain trusted for 30 days, so you won't need to enter an OTP each time you sign in from that trusted browser and device. Workable requests an OTP again if you use a new browser or device, clear your cookies, or your session expires. Resetting your password does not remove trusted status. For more details, see Does Workable support MFA/2FA?
Note: This OTP step also applies when signing in with a password to the Referrals portal and the Careers page site builder.
Signing in with password
- Go to the sign-in page.
- Enter your work email address and select Sign in with Password.
- Enter your password and select Sign in.
-
If an OTP is required, you'll be redirected to a new screen to enter your 6-digit code. At the same time, an email containing the code is sent to your email address — select the copy button in the email to copy it quickly. The screen also includes shortcuts to popular email providers so you can access your inbox without leaving the page.
- Enter the 6-digit code. Sign-in completes automatically once you enter the last digit — no need to select a button.
Note: The code is valid for 10 minutes. If you enter an incorrect or expired code, you'll see an error message — select Resend code to request a new one if needed. You can resend the code at any time, but there is a 60-second waiting period between requests. After 5 failed attempts, the code is invalidated, and you'll need to request a new one.
If you don't receive the OTP email, check your spam or junk folder. For further help, refer to our Trouble receiving emails from Workable guide.
If you are having trouble receiving the code, you can sign in with your Google, Microsoft, or LinkedIn account instead — these options don't require an OTP. Note that the OTP step is a required part of password sign-in and can't be turned off.
