The approved requisition status indicates that the requisition was approved by the team responsible for the approval but is not yet open, which means that the hiring process hasn't been initiated officially.
The open requisition is a step further from approval and means that recruiting is actively underway. A Requisition Owner (Recruiting Admin in the related job) or a Super Admin can open an approved requisition from the three dots menu.
