It is not possible to extend or modify the allotted time to answer a question, nor is it possible to allow for breaks or pauses during Workable Assessments.
During cognitive assessments, every question is time-limited, and all questions must be answered in one sitting. Candidates will see a countdown timer for each question and have a short time to read and respond with their answers. For example, candidates may have two minutes to solve a math equation. After two minutes, the assessment automatically moves on to the next question, whether the candidate has answered or not.
The overall duration of a cognitive assessment is based on the number of questions a candidate receives. Some candidates may receive more or fewer questions because these assessments are adaptive.
If candidates require accommodations granting more time to take an assessment, we recommend pursuing alternative assessment methods such as an extra interview or a custom, not-time-limited test.
