Key info: Credit balance activity, plus credit usage by agent action and by job
Date filter: Credit activity date (default: this month)
The AI credits report gives account admins visibility into how AI credits are consumed across jobs and agent actions, and how the account's credit balance changed over a reporting period.
To access it, go to the Reports page and select AI credit usage under the Workable Agent & AI credits section.
Before you start
Three things determine what you'll see in the report:
- Data starts 13 July 2026: the report covers the current credit model only, so no AI credit activity is reported before this date.
- Your opening balance appears as a balance transfer: the credit balance carried over from the previous credit model is recorded as a Balance transfer on 12 July 2026, 09:00 UTC. Balance transfer may also be used in the future if a credit conversion is applied.
- Job filters don't change the top-level metrics or the credit activity summary chart: filters such as job title or department apply only to the charts and tables that break down credit usage by job. The metrics at the top always reflect the whole account for the selected date range.
Top-level metrics and credit activity summary
Three headline metrics summarize credit activity for the selected date range:
- Ending balance: the credit balance at the end of the reporting period
- Credits used: credits consumed in the reporting period. Expired credits are not counted here
- Average credits per job: total credits used in the period, divided by the number of distinct jobs that consumed credits in the period
Below the headline metrics, the credit activity summary chart shows every movement in the account's credit balance over the reporting period, from the opening balance through to the closing balance:
- Starting balance: the balance at the beginning of the period. Can be positive or negative
- Balance transfer: credits carried over from a credit conversion. See Before you start above
- Purchased: credits purchased within the period
- Free: credits allocated to the account at no cost, typically the initial trial credit allocation
- Used: credits consumed by any AI activity in the period
- Expired: credits that expired in the period
- Ending balance: the balance at the end of the period. Can be positive or negative
Columns with no activity in the period are hidden, so the chart may show a different set of columns from one period to the next. Starting balance and Ending balance are always shown.
Usage breakdowns
Below the credit activity summary, three views break down where credits are being used.
Credits used by action
This view shows how many credits each type of agent activity consumed:
- Chat: completed candidate chats
- Evaluation: a candidate's initial evaluation
- Re-evaluation: a manually triggered candidate evaluation
- Sourcing: candidate sourcing
The accompanying details table breaks each action down further:
- Total actions: how many times the action ran
- Avg. credits per action: credits used for that action, divided by the number of actions
- Credits used: total credits consumed by the action
Credit usage over time
This view helps identify usage patterns across the recruiting cycle. Choose the interval you want, day, week, month, quarter, or year, to see credits consumed per interval, broken down by action.
Credits used by job
This view shows which jobs are consuming credits and on which activities. Each row shows the credits a job consumed per action, its total, and that total as a share of all credits consumed in the period.
Filters
Standard plans have the following filters available:
- Credit activity date
- Job department
- Job location
- Job status
- Job title
- Job member filters
Premier and Enterprise plans also include the full set of job filters available in the other recruiting reports.
The default filter is Credit activity date set to this month. As noted in Before you start, job filters apply to the charts and tables, but not to the top-level metrics.
