When you're invited to complete an employee survey, you'll receive a notification through the channels you already use: email, an inbox item, a to-do, and a Slack message, each with a link to the survey. Select the link to open the survey, signing in first if you aren't already logged in.
You can also access your surveys from your employee profile, under the Surveys tab. There, you can check whether a survey has been completed or is still outstanding.
Starting your survey
The survey opens on a welcome screen showing its due date, a welcome message explaining its purpose, and roughly how long it should take to complete. The screen also tells you clearly whether the survey is anonymous or transparent.
- If the survey is anonymous, you'll see a note that your identity and answers are never linked to you.
- If the survey is transparent, you'll see a note that your answers are linked to you and can be reviewed by authorized people.
Select Start survey to begin.
Answering questions
Questions are grouped into sections, and a progress bar at the top shows how far along you are. Each question shows its position within the section, for example, "Question 1 of 4."
Depending on how the survey was built, you may be asked to answer in different formats: writing an open-text response, selecting a rating, or choosing from a list of options. Some questions combine a written response with a rating.
Use Previous and Next to move between questions. Required questions are marked with an asterisk.
Submitting your survey
You can only submit the survey once, through your personal link. If you start answering but don't finish, your progress is kept as a draft so you can continue later.
Once you submit all your answers, you'll see a thank-you confirmation. If you return to the survey link afterward, it will simply show that confirmation again.
Note: If you have not responded yet, a reminder will be sent three days before the survey's end date (if there is an end date).
