When you connect Claude to your Workable account, you can set up automated workflows that monitor your hiring data and take action on your behalf — sending Slack notifications, tagging candidates, and surfacing insights without any manual effort. Each automation runs on a schedule you define and can be tailored to match your internal processes.
The following are examples of workflows you can build using Claude with Workable.
Approved requisition nudge
When a requisition is approved but not yet opened in Workable, hiring can stall before it even begins. This automation runs a daily scan of all requisitions in the approved state and sends a Slack message to the requisition owner for any that have been sitting approved for more than 48 hours — including a direct link to open the requisition in Workable.
The threshold and message content are configurable to match your team's process.
Requisition approval status notifications
Rather than waiting for approvers to take action on requisitions, this automation keeps the requisition owner and hiring manager informed after every step in the approval process. Each time an approver submits their input, Claude reads the approval action and sends a Slack notification to the relevant parties — so no one is left wondering where things stand.
You can configure who receives these notifications: the requisition owner, the hiring manager, a specific user, or a Slack channel.
Employment end date notification
If you have employees or contractors with a contract or employment expiration date populated in Workable, you can set up a scheduled automation to notify the relevant manager in advance. Claude scans for upcoming end dates and sends a Slack message to give the manager time to act — whether that means starting an offboarding process or extending the contract.
The notification lead time and message logic are fully customizable.
Video interview status tagging
If your hiring process includes video interviews, this automation lets you filter and act on candidates based on their completion status. Claude reads the video interview status for candidates on a given job and adds a tag to each one — for example, vi-completed or vi-pending — so you can easily identify and segment candidates at a glance.
The tag names and any additional logic applied after tagging can be adjusted based on your workflow.
