Integrate Workable with your AssureHire account to perform background checks for your prospective hires. When the background screen is complete, you will be notified about the result, and a link will appear in the candidate profile (under Review > Background checks) that goes to AssureHire, where detailed results are available.
Setting up the integration
To set the integration up:
- If you are a new AssureHire client, the AssureHire API key will be provided by the onboarding team as part of your initial setup.
- If you’re moving from another ATS to Workable, you can request the AssureHire API key through your CSM.
Once you receive the API key, you'll need to sign in to Workable as a Super Admin user:
- Click your profile icon in the upper right, click on 'Settings' and navigate to Integrations > Apps
- Locate AssureHire in the list of Background checks integrations and click on it
- Paste your AssureHire API key in the corresponding field and click Update settings
That's it! The integration is now complete, and you will be able to perform background checks from the candidate's timeline.
Syncing a Billing Code to AssureHire
As part of the integration, you can send a billing code from Workable to AssureHire when requesting a background check. This can be helpful if you'd like to separate invoices by location or entity.
To set this up:
In your Workable account, create a custom candidate profile field with the name Billing Code.
Choose the dropdown field type.
Add your billing code values as the dropdown options. These should match the codes used in your AssureHire account.
When requesting a background check, make sure the candidate already has a value selected for the Billing Code field. The selected value will be passed to AssureHire as part of the request.
