With Workable, you can advertise jobs that may be on-site, hybrid, or remote. Follow these guidelines depending on the workplace type of the job you're hiring for.
On-site jobs
The employee works at your physical workplace.
📍 Location requirements:
Under the Office location field, make sure you add the full location of your offices. A city is required for on-site roles. You can add multiple office locations (up to 4 additional).
The eye button enables you to select which locations will appear on your Careers page, Referrals portal, or job widget. Note that a minimum of one visible (or shown) location is mandatory for the on-site workplace. On job boards, the posting will be displayed with the location you specified.
📢 Impact on job boards:
Job location has a significant impact on job board performance. The primary location you specify will be sent to any job boards where you publish the posting. The additional locations will be sent to Linkedin (free) and Google for jobs.
This ensures it is considered when candidates use filters or conduct searches on those job boards.
Hybrid jobs
The employee will have the flexibility to work from both the office and home. Employees may be expected to report to the office or job site regularly.
📍 Location requirements:
Under the Office location field, make sure you add the full location of your offices. A city is required for hybrid roles. You can add multiple office locations (up to 4 additional).
The eye button enables you to select which locations will appear on your Careers page, Referrals portal, or job widget. Note that a minimum of one visible (or shown) location is mandatory for the hybrid workplace. On job boards, the posting will be displayed with the location you specified.
📢 Impact on job boards:
Job location has a significant impact on job board performance. The primary location you specify will be sent to any job boards where you publish the posting. The additional locations will be sent to Linkedin (free) and Google for jobs.
Οnly a few job boards support the hybrid workplace type. These are:
- Jobs by Workable
- LinkedIn (except for premium postings purchased through Workable for which the #LI-Hybrid tag should be added to the job description)
- Indeed
- Monster
- Google for Jobs
[Coming Soon] For the rest of the job boards that do not support hybrid jobs, Workable will automatically append (Hybrid) to the job titles, e.g., Software Engineer (Hybrid).
Remote jobs
The employee is not and will not be required to work from the company's office. They will permanently work from their own location.
📍 Location requirements:
Under the Employee location field, make sure you add at least the Country or State. This location is where you want to advertise the job and find candidates. A country is required for remote roles. You can add multiple employee locations (up to 4 additional).
Some job boards require a city, even for remote jobs (you will see a warning in the job board tile). The job will not be advertised on these boards if the city is not added.
The eye button enables you to select which locations will appear on your Careers page, Referrals portal, or job widget. You can also hide all locations if you wish to. On job boards, the posting will be displayed with the location you specified.
📢 Impact on job boards:
