By default, only Admins, Recruiters, and Hiring Managers can request a background check and view the results. If another type of user on the account tries to initiate a background check, they will be asked to contact an admin.
To enable users with lower hiring team roles to be able to request or view background checks, as a Super Admin:
- Navigate to the 'Roles & permissions' settings.
- Adjust the relevant permissions under the 'Candidate evaluation & screening tools' category.
✉️ Email notifications
Email notifications are sent in accordance with the "View background check results" permission. By default, candidate followers who are also job collaborators with hiring manager or higher access will receive email notifications, including the results. If you grant the view permission to lower hiring team roles, they will also be able to view results in Workable and will receive email notifications.
