Integrating with bob

Connect your Workable and bob accounts to export candidate information seamlessly from Workable to bob. When you move a candidate to the Hired stage of your pipeline, you will receive an email and in-app notification from Bob to complete their profile as a new employee. 

 

Setting up the integration

To complete the setup, you need to be an Admin user in Workable, having access to all candidates. 

In your bob account:

1. From the left, click Bob products > System Settings.
   
2. Navigate to the Integrations tab.
3. Select the Recruitment category, and on the Workable tile, click Connect.
4. Click Go to Workable, and you’ll be prompted to log in to your Workable account.
5. Click Allow access to the needed permissions.
   
6. Provide your Workable subdomain and click Save.

That's it! The integration has been set up.

 

Manage new hire notifications

By default, notifications are sent to the company admin in Bob, but you can change the ATS notification setting to ensure they are sent to someone else. 

 

Field export and mapping

Once the integration has been set up, it starts working with the default field mapping below. The candidate's resume and offer letter are also imported.

Title	Job title (❗The job titles defined in Bob should match the job titles in Workable in order for candidates to be exported correctly.)

LinkedIn, Facebook, X	Social profiles

 

You have the option to customize the field mapping under the Data mapping section in your bob account. To include additional fields (e.g. the candidate source or even custom fields if they have been filled for hired candidates) click Add field at the bottom of the field list - mapping fields is mandatory even if the Workable field and the Bob field have the same name.  

 

Using the integration

When a candidate is moved to your Hired stage in Workable, you will receive an email and in-app notification from Bob, prompting you to complete the hiring process for this new hire. 

1. Click the Complete the hiring process link
2. Click + New hire, and the popup will open
3. Click Start
4. The New Hire wizard will launch pre-populated with the data taken from Workable. Fill in the rest of the new hire's data and complete the process.
