Seek supports free text and multiple choice questions. To provide a better experience and a full feature set we have mapped all of our question and custom field types (except for the File upload) to Seek’s supported types. Here are a few tips to ensure the optimal use of questions/custom fields with Seek.
- Short answer/text type: indicate to candidates that their answer must be up to 128 characters long. If they add more characters they will not be passed in Workable.
- For example: What is your strongest skill? (write up to 128 characters)
- For example: What is your strongest skill? (write up to 128 characters)
- Date type: indicate to candidates that they should provide the date in a 'DD Month YYYY' form. Date questions/fields will exist as free text on Seek but will be transformed to date type in Workable.
- For example: When are you available to start? (provide a full date e.g. 23 December 2023)
- For example: When are you available to start? (provide a full date e.g. 23 December 2023)
- Numeric type: indicate to candidates that they should add only a numeric value. If they add the currency or other characters their reply will not be passed into Workable.
- For example: What is your expected salary in £? (provide only a numeric value)
- To avoid missing answers, you can use a short answer type for questions like the expected salary.
- For example: What is your expected salary in £? (provide only a numeric value)
- File upload type: this type is not supported by Seek. As a workaround, you could prompt candidates to share a drive link instead of uploading the files (this could be a 'Paragraph' type question)
Important: Any updates to the application form after the job is published won't be automatically passed to Seek. In this case, contact Seek for further assistance.
