Before the review cycle kicks off, as a manager, you may be requested to tailor the performance reviews for your team members. If your organization allows this, you will receive a notification and to-do item to edit the review forms for each direct report and mark them as ready. This way, you can include questions and sections specific to each person's role and responsibilities.
During the preparation period, when viewing a scheduled cycle, you will see a banner with instructions on preparing templates for your upcoming direct report reviews.

If you wish to customize the questions you'll be required to answer in your manager review for each of your direct reports:
- Click Edit on the upper right of the form page.
- Add any additional sections or questions to the existing self and/or manager review form. Note that you won't be able to remove template sections or questions; they will show up as locked with an associated icon.
- You can save your changes and return to them later, or save and mark them as ready.
3. Mark forms as ready
Once your review forms are in good shape, you can mark them as ready from the form page or by using the three-dot menu for each of your direct reports.
Important: Make sure to mark all your direct reports' forms as ready before the review start date to allow them to begin. Reviews not marked as ready cannot start. The review start date and other dates are available in the 'Review cycle details'.
