 1 External recruiters can only see jobs that have been assigned to them and candidates that they have uploaded. You must be on a Workable Pro plan to invite external recruiters.

 2 Only a member who is set as a 'Hiring Manager' for a job can read/add private comments and emails. Admins and other hiring managers will be able to see these messages.

 3 Admins can enable background check permissions for all members in the Integrations section of the account.

 4 External recruiters can only view the basic reporting suite and will only see data about their uploaded candidates.

 5 Talent Pool visibility can be restricted for admins only.

 6 Only members who are set as a 'Hiring Manager' for a specific job can view / send offer letter details.

Anyone who should have fully visibility for everything on the account.

Hiring manager

Hiring managers must be assigned to specific jobs to perform most actions.

Hiring managers can record and view private comments and private emails, as well as see and send offer letter details.

Who should be a hiring manager?

Anyone who is fully involved in the hiring process, i.e. people who will have access to more private information like salary and job offer details.

  • Department heads
  • Executives
  • Hiring decision maker

Member

Members must be assigned to specific jobs to perform most actions.

Members cannot record or view private comments, private emails, or offer letter details.

Who should be a member?

People who are involved in the hiring process, but shouldn't see private info like salary.

  • Team leads
  • Team members

External recruiter

External recruiters must be assigned to specific jobs to perform any action. 

Who should be an external recruiter?

Recruiters outside your organization (e.g. at staffing agencies) who will upload candidates to Workable on their own.
